It is legal but it's not necessarily smart. What you end up with may not be valid or may not reflect your actual wishes. No matter what they say, most of the websites are not really geared to meeting the Texas requirements.

Most attorneys who handle Wills and Probate will prepare Wills at very reasonable rates. If you mess things up using a DIY site no one will know until it's too late to do anything about it and your attempt to save a little money now could end up costing your heirs thousands.
