Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Worried about my sons safety
My ex-husband, my son's dad, is verbally and emotionally abusive. He has been physically abusive in the past and he was sexually abusive to my daughter since she was 3, but he wasn't charged. He's been awared visitations w/my son but there have been several dangerous fights between him and his new wife. last time he went to jail over it, and this is while my son was there for a visit. He has a restraining order and isn't supposed to own a gun, but he does, and this last fight my son heard him getting in the gun safe. I am scared not only for my son's psycological well being but for his safety. He is 11. I'm not letting his dad have him anymore but I'm worried about what his dad will do. Do we have any legal rights w/out solid proof? Everything pretty much is his word against ours.

Re: Worried about my sons safety
Your son's testimony can be extremely persuasive and powerful if effectively presented through a psychologist. This is expensive but cheap compared to the potential risk you describe.
