Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I'm a young woman who married too young, we are both 19. We have been married since May 2009. We have one 18 month old son and one vehicle. I have no income and he is in the Army National Guard and also holds a part time job. I want to know how I can keep my son, I'm looking for a job, and what my rights are.

You have the right to file for divorce and ask the Court to award custody of the child to you. If the Court agrees that this would be in the child's best interest, it will make that order.
