Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

younger sister

Hello, I have a 16 yr old sister, she current lives with the man who was married to my mother before she died when my sister was 11. He has conservatoryship of her but has never adopted her. The thing is he treats her horrible, and it has gotten even worse since he remarried. He constantly yells at her, he puts down my deceased mother to her, he does not like for her to have frequent contact with me or our other older sister. I buy her school supplies and clothes. Is there anything I can do? Im very concerned about her. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: younger sister

Of course you can do something. You can hire a lawyer and petition the court for custody. It's quite likely that your little sister would make an election to allow you to have custody. Try it. Good Luck.
