FMLA - Short Term Disability
In Texas, does an Employer have the right to count FMLA and Short term Disability to run at the same time. My employer says, STD pays and FMLA excuses absences. Is this legal?? What if I need FMLA later for a different need?

FMLA is to permit employees 12 weeks off for certain emergencies..short term disability is to pay for time disabled..they have no relation to each other..you must be confused.
