Legal Question in Federal Tort Claims in Texas
Court ordered visitation
I filed my own divorce and do not have an attorney. We are going to court in less than two weeks. My future ex-husband has a documented history of drug abuse and family violence. Can I request that the judge order special visitation that will ensure the safety of my children, and how would I do that without an attorney?

Yes..bring proof of his problems..criminal convictions, etc...and if you call local bar associations or local attorneys you may have a lawyer appointed by the Pro bono group..I spent a week in jury trial 20 years ago pro bono for the mother of two children..but now leave that to younger lawyers..so check locally..Dallas Bar and probably most areas have such help
