Action against forum moderator

Is there a cause of action against an internet forum moderator that moderates forum members differently, randomly or capriciously? That is, to what extent must forum moderators have a consistent policy towards policing the forum, with respect to the actions he takes against individual forum members? Thanks for your response.

The forum creator has a lot of discretion over who they use to moderate. An attorney would need to know specific facts, but it is unlikely.

The moderator is not legally constrained. If they moderate randomly or capriciously, the forum will be affected, but there's no legal action that can be taken.
