Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Action against forum moderator
Is there a cause of action against an internet forum moderator that moderates forum members differently, randomly or capriciously? That is, to what extent must forum moderators have a consistent policy towards policing the forum, with respect to the actions he takes against individual forum members? Thanks for your response.

Re: Action against forum moderator
The forum creator has a lot of discretion over who they use to moderate. An attorney would need to know specific facts, but it is unlikely.

Re: Action against forum moderator
The moderator is not legally constrained. If they moderate randomly or capriciously, the forum will be affected, but there's no legal action that can be taken.
