Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
I had alarm system installed in my home and I was told there was no 3 year contact only to find out the next day after I signed the agreement it was a 3 year contract. Now I am being sued for the 3 year amount and I cannot pay it what are my options?

I've seen that a number of times. The sales people are typically commission and often leave by the time the contract ends. If they are suing you, 1) you need a lawyer to deal with it effectively, and 2) you need to countersue for Decetive Trade Practices Act and other law violations. If you are around the Houston-Galveston area, I'd be glad to give you a no-fee consultation to look over the documents, lawsuit, and your options. We keep our fees very very low and you will always deal only with a Laywer directly. Let me know if I can help - [email protected]
