Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
What area of Law handles police departments and officers. I was wrongfully arrested for Stalking by my ex husbands girlfriend to assist him in gaining custody of our daughter. We have been in a custody case for 3 years now. Each incident she filed a complaint, I was either dropping off or picking up my child. She told the police her family is in law enforcement and they believed this. The Detective who took their statements, gave it to the District Attorney stating that this was not a Custody Matter; a grand jury moved forward (I was not aware of any of this) and charges were filed against me in January, 2011. I would not have known any of this had transpired if his girlfriend had not attempted to get me fired from my job and told them I had been indicted for stalking.
Now when I contact the police for assistance in our custody case, they (2 officers in particular whom I have been told are friends of my ex and his girlfriend) do not include all of the information in the report and audio is missing.

Get a lawyer, now. Stop calling the police; they are obviously not yoru friends.
Write up a narrative right now, stating what happened (it's easy to forget dates and details), for future reference. Something like this:
March 22, 2011 (6:25 pm): Stacy went to Bonnie's house with me to pick up Mandy for weekend visitation. Bonnie's new husband came to the door, said "You're late." Then Bonnie brought Mandy to the door and said "Have fun with your worthless father, and let me know if he gets drunk."
