Automobile Ownership

My boyfriend and I purchased a car this year. I paid for the car in full with a cashier's check from my account and signed a receipted page. Apparently the car is only listed in his name and I am not in title. Can I legally take this car from him because he won't give it back.

If the title is in your boyfriend's name, you have no legal rights to the car. If the car dealer you bought it from put the title in the wrong name, you may have a claim against the dealer. What was the agreement with the dealer?
