A motor vehicle in Texas is subject to a document of title (unlike a gun, or a lawn mower, or a watch). Your boyfriend will probably deny that he intended to give you the vehicle. And the court would ask: If he really did intend the vehicle as a gift, why didn't he sign over the title?
You're probably going to end up having to return the vehicle to him.
