My daughter and her partner bought a house to live live and sell it a later date as an investment. Now several years later my daughter and her partner are splitting up and her partner wants to sell the house which would cause a loss of $4000. if sold at market value. My daughter does not to selll at a loss or for that matter sell period.Can the partnr force the sell or in the alterative fail yo make her payment thus forcing my daughter to sell given the fact my daughter will not able to pay her ex partener hafe.

If your daughter wants the house, she'll have to pay for it. The court will not force her partner to make payments. If she can't pay for the house, she'll have to sell it. Good Luck.

Your daughter and her ex need to settle this matter. I'd suggest a settlement agreement, in which your daughter buys out the leaving partner's share of the residence. The daughter would then refinance to get the partner off the title and out of the loan.
