Breech of contract

How do I recover monies owed to me by a roommate who

moved out breeching a written contract? The term of the contract was from 7/2000 to 4/2001 and she left in

7/2000. She was to pay rent and electric every alternate month until the end of the contract. I have

the contract; with two wittnesses signitures, what do I do next to persue this matter? I would be greatly

appreciative of any help with this matter.

If you are going to pursue this yourself without legal counsel go to the Clerk of the small claims court. They will provide the forms and directions necessary. Be advised they cannot provide legal advice, fill out the forms for you, or tell you what your chances are.
