Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Calling someone's employer

My brother's girlfriend is extremely vindictive. I could give you a list of horrible things this woman has done, but my concern is only for one. She recently contacted my employer and accused me of making up a profile on her on myspace.com, which is untrue. I do not want to give an inch with this woman. She is manipulative and I do not want her contacting my employer. Is there any legal action I can take to prevent her from contacting my employer in the future?

You can write her a letter. You can have your attorney to write her a letter. You may find that letters may have no impact on a crazy person.

After considering the letter writing stage, you may want to consider the courts where you can file a suit and seek an injunction, and perhaps a judgment for damages. Don't count on getting rich on the lawsuit, because most often these type of crazy people will have no property from which to pay a judgment anyway. If letters do not work, then your only viable "legal" option is to sue her and seek an injuction, and hope that she will not violate the injunction.

The other alternative is to show your employer that there is no such web site and that she is nuts. Although outside of a comment on the law, I might add that some crazy people eventually will disappear to other activities when they are ignored.

Charles White has pretty well summed up your options. Seeking injunctive relief is on the expensive side of legal action.
