Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

New Car Contract Question

On March 15th 2008 I went to a dealership and bought a new car. We signed all the papers I asked for a copy of the contract and the finance manager said we will get it later on next week. Following Monday I went back to have the inspection sticker on the car and asked I could get a photocopy of the contract. They said no and explained that the vehicle was not funded yet and finance company had to verify information. So I'm driving a car that is not funded? I asked what if the finance company turns us down? They said, ''you would have to return the vehicle back''. I did leave a down payment which has gone through my bank on the 21st. All I have right now is a purchase order and have yet to receive a copy of the contract. Is this right? Also I found out that the finance company that the dealership set me up with has a ''F'' on the better business bureau. Can I ask the dealership to change finance company or let me find one of my own? What are my options if any? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..
