Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

my new car

my girlfriend bought me a car and the autoloan is under her name and bank.I use the car to go to work and every day use, she has her own car.i also have proof that the car was bought for me because on the money order for the deposit to hold the car it says for (alexs car) and my family who lives with us and co workers see that i use the car everyday I have the title but i have to send it to her bank but first should i go register the car in my name because it is not registered yet ?we have been together about 1 yr now she wants to split up and take the car but i am the one making the payments and will continue to do so, what should i do and if it goes to court will i lose the car?

If the title is in your name it is your vehicle. Because she took out the loan, she owes the money.

However the bank has a secutity interest in the car and can forclose on that interest if the loan is in default.

Suggest you refinance the debt and get her off of the loan.

I am unclear why you must send the title to her bank.
