Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
car repairs
had a new engine put in vechicle end Oct.99. Only ran for 2 months jan.00. took it back to shop and had hard time getting shop to honor warranty. In meantime shop deliberately damaged vechicle and collected insurance from their insurance co for payment for fixing vechicle, which they did not fix. we had to turn damage in to our insurance co which would not cover half of the damage. Now in June we are completing motor work by another shop with an additional cost of over $2,000.00. Is there any way we can get compensation from shop?

Re: car repairs
If your vehicle is still within the warranty period, or if you can prove fraud with the type of evidence required, then you may have a good lawsuit against the shop which you claim did the damage. Your state may also have implied warranty laws covering this situation.
You may also find the shop is a member of the BBB consumer dispute resolution process. You may with to call them to see what can be done.
The Consumer Affairs Division of your Attorney General's office is another good place to make your complaint. They will advise you what if anything is available to you to resolve your problems.
Good luck.
