I had a case that was dimissed, so If I am asked if I ever was convicted of a crime do I answer yes or no???

You were not convicted if the case was dismissed. However, if your record is checked, it will show the fact of the arrest. You should consult an attorney about having your record expunged. If your record is expunged, there will be no record of the arrest.
