Cell Provider Owes Me
In December of 06 I was home on leave in Houston from tech school so I got a Cricket cell phone. A no contract cell service provider.
On December 28th i was stationed at Travis AFB in California. This base is centered between San Francisco and Sacramento. Sometime in
January i Cricket to ask them if they would have service anytime soon in my area. They tell me they would not anytime soon. So i
cancelled my service with them. Its not for months later sometime in April or May i realize theyre withdrawing funds from my checking
account. I call them to cancel, i believe it was April or May. I speak to a gentleman who barely understands english and i tell him i
want to cancel my account. He tells that he cancelled my account. The next month or two, in June, i call again because i was still
being charged. I ask to speak to a supervisor. This time i recorded my conversation, it was mid June and i speak with a woman who
tells me that my account will be cancelled. I check my account in July and sure enough i was charged yet again. I tried working it
out with Cricket multiple times to get a refund but they basically tell me since they dont have a record of me cancelling before June
they cant issue a refund. No more space..

Sounds frustrating. From what I understand of what you have written, you did not provide anything in writing to i cricket about cancellation. Therefore, it is difficult for you to prove your assertion. You should always put these things in writing. Send them something today if you have not already. You should also dispute the charges with your bank and see if they will negotiate with you.
Your recording of the cancellation may be convincing to the i cricket people over the phone in trying to work something out but unless you asked for permission to record the conversation it is not something you can use against them.
