Re: civil

Based on what you have written, generally there are two different statutes that govern recording conversations. There are two-party and one-party states. What this basicially means is that in a two-party state - both parties to the conversation must be aware of the recording and in a one-party state - only one party to the conversating must be aware of the recording. The biggest thing that you might want to be concerned with would be the admissibility of any recorded conversation into evidence at a trial. You should really consult with a local law firm prior to recording any conversation. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.
