Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Collision with Teenage Uninsured Driver in Insured Car
My 16-year old son was recently involved in an accident with another teenage driver. The other driver was found at fault (2 witnesses substantiated this). I received a phone call today from the other insurance company stating that they were denying the claim because the driver was ''excluded'' from that policy. I argued that this particular teenager is continually still driving this car and that we are the innocent parties and yet are the ones being held accountable. I am unsure of my recourse at this point; therefore, I would appreciate any advice you can give.

You may contact a local lawyer and you may also contact the Department of Public Safety and see if they will take the driver's license unless he pays the damages. You may also go to small claims court.
