Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Deal or No Deal?

Texas: I just bought a new car and so far the vehicle I am driving is not funded yet. There was a trade in involve which I still owe. It has been 16 days now since we closed the deal my old has not been paid off yet. At the time of the deal the dealer did call to get a 10 payoff amount. How does the dealer handle this? I don't want to wind up having two car payments. I figured that they would pay off the car right away. Been proactive and asking the dealer if there is any trouble but they kept assuring me everything is okay and that finance company says everything looks good, they are just behind on funding vehicles. Should I be worried? And how should I handle this? Both my new car and trade in payments are due in two weeks. Been reading my contract but does not say anything regarding this situation.

Re: Deal or No Deal?

Sounds like you are soon to be a victim of bait and switch financing. I bet your tradein is gone or soon will be. I bet the deal they offered you will not be available because the finance co. turned down your application. I bet they are going to tell you to give them their car back; and oh, by the way, your car is gone. Sorry. If you want to do something about this, contact me by email.
