Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I am a Defendant in a civil case, I was served a Witness Subpoena from the Plaintiffs Attorney to appear in his office for a deposition. This was not served by a officer and is not notarized. Do I have to attend this hearing

Yes. Under the rules of civil procedure, if you're a party, you can be subpoenaed via regular mail.
