Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
driver's liability while driving another's car
My son was driving girlfriend's car with her permission and with her in car. While parking, the front of the car went over a wheel stop. There was minor damage to the air dam and bumper. The girlfriend told him not to worry about the damage. Since then they have broken-up. Now she wants him to fix the car. They threaten to take him to small claims court. Is he liable for damages to her car? The car has been damaged since then and repaired without fixing the damage to the front.
