Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Can an exboyfriend sue you for a gift he gave you if you broke off the relationship? What if he broke it off?

It doesn't matter who broke off the relationship. A gift is a gift. Did he say, "Here, I want you to have this necklace ... and by the way, I expect you to pay me $20 a month"?

Unless you have (had) an agreement to pay for the "gift," it is a GIFT.
