Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Not my Fault
A friend gave me her keys to put something in her car.
When I opened the door the handle popped and broke. I informed her immediately. The car is a 1997 Honda Excel. Am I obligated by law to have it repaired?
She wants me to rent another car for her, because she can't wait an hour for the repairs. She has one estimate of 142.00 Dollars.

Re: Not my Fault
You are not responsible for things that break or damages to your friend's car which are not as a result of negligence on your part. You certainly don't have to rent her a car.
I would tell her to forget it and find another friend. This one is too unreasonable.
