Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
General Release
Can a public school force you to sign a General Release that states you release them from all future liability for all employees, next of kin, etc - in order to participate in the school band? What if they are negligent resulting in harm; have I signed away any recourse at obtaining restitution?

Re: General Release
A court would limit the extent of the release. I'd have to research this to know exactly what the courts are doing now on this, but you would have recourse in the right scenarios. You still have rights.
