New Home Repair

A drain pipe was broken during construction and the builder sent repair people to fix it. they cut a hole in the wall and said they would make repaires to the cabinets and the wall,and carpet it has been over two months since we heard from them and several phone calls have gone unanswered. what can we do to resolve this situtation? We also have mold and bugs from the damage.

Letters sent certified mail have far greater effect than a telephone call. Then, too, filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau sometimes helps.

Get the repairs done through other contractors and then go after the builder for the cost to repair. Give the builder fair notice, in writing, that you will do that if they fail to promptly complete the repairs they were supposed to.
