Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
My husband has been accused of grabbing a hotel worker and not letting her out of his room when she came in to change towels. His job was paying for his hotel room and has sent him home because of this. He has not been fired, just relocated in the company. HR is going to investigate but police charges were not filed. He absolutely denies the charges. Can we sue for slander? He has been told that he will likely lose at least a week's worth of pay while they investigate.
