Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
judgements/frozen bank accounts
If I have a judgement against me, own no property and the lawyer freezes my bank account. Is this a one time deal, they take what money is there out and need to freeze it again if the balance is not there? I have direct deposit, mandatory and need that money to live, rent etc. Or does the account remain frozen not allowing me access each time I get paid..

Re: judgements/frozen bank accounts
Depends upon the mechanism used to freeze your account.
If a garnishment, it's a one-time deal, although they can always sue out another writ in garnishment and freeze your account again.
If it's a freeze letter from a receiver, the money may be taken as it's deposited.
