Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Loan

I put up a $2650.00 bond on my credit card for a person and in return she was to repay me. This has been months ago and no repayment. Can I take her to civil court and how do I do this?

If you do not intend to retain an attorney to do this for you, you should go to Small Claims Court where you can bring suit on amounts up to $5,000.00. The Justice of Peace in precinct of the defendant is the one who presides over Small Claims Court.
