Neighbor Dispute

We had a tornado in our neighborhood the other night. Our house was hit pretty bad. Our neighbor's tree fell on our fence and crushed it. Are the neighbors responsible paying for this or are we? We have a hefty deductible to cover first. There was no damage to their house.

The neighbor would only be responsible if the tree was dead and you had complained to them about it being a hazard beforehand.

When it's simply an Act of God, your insurance becomes responsible, and not your neighbor's.
