Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
ninsured person driving someone esles car
My 23 year old son drove his 19 year old girl friends car with her premmision. He hit a curb his girl friends mom is demanding he pay 598.00 to fix the car. I suggested he pay only half as I thought that would be fair. As it has been confirmed that the car was not running great to begin with.

I'm not sure what we can tell you on this. When someone entrust you with their car, you have an obligation to return it in the same condition. But some repairs for damage have to use new parts and can't be cut in half. Insurance companies do that kind of cutting but most people can't get away with it...no contract for one thing. Good luck
