Options of Court for Failure to Comply with Order to replead

The Plaintiff was ordered to replead his original petition by a certain date. He failed to do so in a timely fashion. What action should the defendant request the court to take, and what are the options open to the court?

Defendant can request the Court to Order trial on the current pleadings and request summary judgment if the Plaintiff's pleadings fail to allege a cause of action.
