Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Post dated checks
i wrote a post-dated check for a down payment on a car only to find out that i wasn't going to receive the funds that i thought i was going to in order to cover the check. so i let the dealership know this before the date of the check. am i still liable for this check? i've told them to take back the vehicle and they refuse.

Re: Post dated checks
This one is kind of tricky because for legal purposes, it does not matter that you post dated the check; however, if you are lucky, they will not make an issue about this. If they do, then you would have to defend it.
