Property

My fiancee'and I purchased a home together. I later discovered he was still married. I have since moved out of the home. What is my options concerning the home, can I request that he buy my portion of the home?

Assuming no other unusual circumstances, both of you own the property as tenants in common - 1/2 each. Neither of you can force the other to buy your 1/2 interest. If you cannot agree, either of you can go to court to have the property partitioned. Because the property likely cannot be physically divided, the property will be ordered sold, and the balance, if any, will be divided between you. If there is a mortgage against the property, it will be sold subject to the mortgage or other arrangements will have to be made for payment of the mortgage.
