Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Property stolen that was left at a freind's home

A coworker left some jewelry in my care so that I could take pictures for a website that I am developing for a class that I am taking in school(she will use the website for her personal use later.)

While the jewelry was in my possession in my home, my house was broken into and all the jewelry as well as other things were taken. I filed a police report, but I do not have insurance. (I rent the property and do not have renters insurance)

What is my liability to her?

You are liable for the value of the jewelry.
