Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I purchased a vechile a week ago,from apersonal owner. i paid 2600 and i live in texas. I,ve had the vechile a week. the thid day the water pump went out. On Friday the transmission went out. I told the owner and he said as is . When I purchased the car he said as is, but didn,t mention any problems. H e said the motor had been replaced and showed proof. Do I have a legal leg to stand on?
