Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I received a default judgement against a woman that owes me 2500.00. She never responded to any of the letters sent to her by the court. She doesn't own anything to my knowledge. What recourse do I have to recoup my money.

Go to the clerk of the court that gave you the judgment, and ask her to issue an Abstract of Judgment. Take the AJ and record it in the county where the Debtor Woman lives. Total cost will be about $30.

After it's recorded (it will be mailed back to you), mail a copy to the Debtor Woman and ask her how she plans to pay the judgment. Tell her that a payment plan would be okay.

If you don't mind spending about $100, you can get an execution issued, and the sheriff will serve it on her. If she doesn't have any non-exempt property
