Am I responsable to pay for it ?

My Daughter was sharing a friends gym bag. While her and the friend were taking out their uniforms from the bag, her friends cell phone fell from my daughters uniform and broke. Her mother dose NOT have insurance on the phone and wants me to pay for a new phone. Am I required to buy the new phone?

No. You would only be responsible if your daughter deliberately broke it. Does the mother have home-owners, or renter's, insurance? That may cover the accidental breakage.
