Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

I have a situation, I have had my children enrolled in a Karate program since last year and I have come to the conclusion that I cannot pay for it anymore. The karate place is threatening to sue me for $122 dollars in karate gear. The original price for the year was quoted to me for $140 a year. What is the legal standing for a situation like this if I was not given a contract?

Oral contracts are enforceable, but the question always is: What were the specific terms of the contract? It ends up being a question of he said/she said.

I very much doubt that they'll sue you for $122.00 (my rule of thumb is: for every 500 threats of lawsuit, only one is actually filed). The filing fee in small claims court is $101.00.
