Can you please explain what steps are needed to take someone to small claims court in Houston?

An attorney by the name of Richard Alderman recently received a community service award for his articles and assistance concerning presentation of claims in the small claims Court. I think he has a website or an e-mail address. Check the web, if you can't find anything there, check the public library for his articles. He is particularly renowned in the Houston area and sponsors or gives classes on the subject.
