Statues of limitatation for attorney malpractice or neligence

At trial i discovered that my attorney fail to file my amended pleading and counterclaim with the district clerk for court; it was a year before we went to trial. Plus, he failed to submit to the other party the required letter requesting attorney as required by statues. If I could find these statues as a layperson I think he should had.
