Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
I was staying at a chain hotel in and was brushing my teeth and leaned over the sink to rinse and the marble plate covering the plumbing pipes fell on my foot. My foot has a small cut (approx 1 inch long) that bled most of the day and it swelled up instantly. It has been swollen for three days now. I told the desk clerk on duty and she was very sympathetic and offered me some bandages to help stop the bleeding. The next day I called the hotel to speak to the manager and was told he could not be found on property. I asked for his name and email address. I have emailed him twice with no response. Could I file a lawsuit/claim against the hotel? What should I do next?

Your answer depends on several facts that you did not provide. Was the marble loose (or what cause it to fall), where is the hotel located (City and State..etc), and what type of injuries do you have?
Generally speaking, you probably have a good claim. I would need more information to be able to give you a better response.
