Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

After my stepdad passed away, we had a lot of legal issues with my stepdads stepkids from another marriage. We finally settled the case, and agreed to let them have the house. When I moved my mom out of the house, they claim we left 4 boxes of family photos there. They're demanding we give them a desk that was left to mom in the will in exchange for the photos.

We agreed to this simply because we want our family photos back. However, the pictures are now being held at their lawyers office for me to 'inspect'. They said we're not allowed to take the pictures until the desk is delivered.

Is there anything preventing me from taking the pictures out of the lawyers office? I don't relish the thought of looking at the pictures, and then giving them possession of them again.
