Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Can I sue for each damaged credit report?

My three credit reports are damaged by inaccuracy by the same offender for one negative item? Can I sue the offender for each damage (one lawsuit for Experian, one lawsuit for Transunion, and one lawsuit for CSC) in small claims court?

Re: Can I sue for each damaged credit report?

Although you may want to break the cases into three separate lawsuits, I am puzzled as to why you would want to do so. The means paying court costs for three separate cases instead of one, and that you will need to have three separate trials. My recommendation is to sue him in the same case. There is some risk that an attempt to sue only one at a time might inadvertently result in a finding that all such related claims are disposed of in the first judgment -- particularly when considering the fact that you may have a non-lawyer representing himself in Small Claims Court which for most counties also is presided over by a non-lawyer judge.
