Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
Sue
My 20 year old son was asked to drive our neighbors truck to help unload rocks for her driveway. When he was backing up he broke her mirror. The neighbor told her insurance company her car was hit in the parking lot of walmart and told my son he owed her the deductable. Recently, she sent me a letter threatening me to sue if we did not pay the remaining 185.00 he still owes her, claiming she can sue us for the balance and her attorney fees. If he signed nothing and I was not even there how can she sue us?
