Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
can you be sued twice for the same thing? charges were dismissed previously because neither party showed up to court a couple of years ago. I am now being sued again for the same thing?

If the previous case was dismissed "with prejudice," then they should not be able to bring the same case against you. If the case was dismissed "without prejudice," then they may be able to sue you again. However, they may have a problem with the statute of limitations now.
