Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas
I supported a girlfriend while she was in prison and sent her close to 5,000 dollars for commissary. She lead me to believe she wanted marriage, children and a life with me through letters and over the phone. She also stated in letters that she would pay me back. Upon her release she told me that she had another man she was more interested in. Can I Sue her to get my money back that I sent her. Due the fact she lied to me and led me on?

I'd go ahead and sue her, and use the "I'll pay you back" letters as evidence. You don't have a very strong case; usually a debt is created by (1) somebody handing over an agreed-upon amount of money and (2) the recipient making a specific promise to pay it back at a specific time.
